Cognititve effects of transcranial static magnetic field stimulation in aging

Basic Information

Recruitment status Recruiting
Health condition(s) or Problem(s) studiedNone
Date of first enrollment18/03/2026
Target sample size160
Countries of recruitment
Study typeInterventional
Intervention(s)tSMS is performed once a day for 20 minutes. If a participant feels anxious during stimulation, adjustments of stimulation are made as necessary. Neodymium magnets are used for tSMS on both frontal lobes. The neodymium magnets are cylindrical, with a diameter of 50 mm and a height of 30 mm. Non-magnetic steel of the same shape is used for sham stimulation.

Outcome(s)

Primary OutcomeComparison of EEG activity changes between real stimulation and sham stimulation of tSMS
Secondary OutcomeComparison of changes in cognitive function and dual task assessments between real stimulation and sham stimulation of tSMS
