Wound closure for the prevention of complications after endoscopic treatment of gastric tumors

Intervention(s)The procedure will be performed using the E-LOC method, which involves closure with standard clips, a 2 cm ring-shaped surgical suture, and an O-ring typically used for hemostasis of esophageal varices. Closure with clips will be considered complete when no cavity formation is observed and the wound is entirely covered (i.e., complete closure as defined).

Include criteriaPatients who meet all of the following criteria will be included: Patients scheduled to undergo ESD for gastric tumors. Patients taking antithrombotic agents, patients on dialysis, or patients at high risk of perforation. Patients whose required data items (described below) are all recorded in the electronic medical record. Patients aged 20 years or older. Patients who have provided informed consent of their own free will.
Exclude criteriaPatients with the following lesions will be excluded: Lesions for which surgical resection is recommended based on preoperative or postoperative pathological diagnosis. Lesions located in the cardia or pylorus. Lesions with a defect exceeding 60 mm in short-axis diameter (i.e., large lesions involving more than half of the gastric circumference). Lesions with a resection diameter of less than 3 cm.
