Primary Outcome	Correlation of quadriceps width, rectus femoris cross-sectional area and circumference measured by ultrasound with frailty indices (J-CHS and Clinical Frailty Index)
Secondary Outcome	Preoperative CT scan of the iliopsoas muscle cross-sectional area Preoperative albumin level Preoperative creatinine level eGFR ICU length of stay Duration on mechanical ventilation Postoperative complications (Clavien-Dindo) 30-day mortality

Age minimum	>= 65age old

Include criteria	Patients aged 65 years or older undergoing esophageal cancer surgery at our hospital who have given written consent for this study
Exclude criteria	1. Patients undergoing concurrent surgery with other surgeries 2. Patients with coexisting neuromuscular disorders 3. Patients in whom a transverse view of the psoas major muscle was not obtained on a preoperative CT scan, which is necessary for treatment
